Kevin's Picks: Croissant - Social Media Cross-Posting Made Simple
I’m paying for Croissant because it saves me time cross-posting to Mastodon, Bluesky, and Threads. Here’s what it costs and how well it works so far.
I pay for several app subscriptions on my iPhone, and I think they’re worth it, but I take that very seriously. An app must always earn its place on my iPhone. That’s what my main blog post and video on this topic is about: Every App I Pay For On My iPhone, and Are They Worth It?.
Here’s why I pay for and use Croissant.

Croissant: Cross-Posting Made Simple
I added Croissant to my subscriptions after seeing Stephen Robles recommend it on his YouTube channel. Croissant lets me cross-post to Mastodon, Bluesky, and Threads all at the same time. I don’t have to copy and paste the same post on each platform, which saves time and makes sure my posts are consistent everywhere.
That said, I don’t tag people in those posts, because each platform works differently for that.
Croissant costs $20 a year ($25 CAD) or $3.99 a month. If you do the math, paying monthly comes close to doubling the cost over a year, so the annual subscription makes more sense.
Early Days for Croissant
The iPhone version of Croissant works pretty well on Mac, but it is still the iPhone version. There’s no Windows version yet, and there isn’t an Android version either. It’s still early days for this app, so for now, this is the easiest way for me to post across platforms without having to do it all manually.
Croissant doesn’t post to Twitter because they no longer allow third-party apps to connect. That’s just how it is.
