Quick Tip: Pin Conversations in iMessage on iOS 18
Pinning iMessage conversations in iOS 18 makes your most important chats easier to find at the top of your chats. Here’s how to do that.
If you text with a lot of people, important chats can quickly get buried. You might scroll past work updates, family group threads, and casual chats just to find one person you message every day. iOS 18 solves this by letting you pin conversations to the top of iMessage.
How to pin conversations:
Open Messages.
Find the conversation you want to keep handy.
Swipe right on it.
Tap Pin.
Repeat for up to nine chats.
Pinned conversations appear as large bubbles at the top of your Messages list. They stay there even when new messages come in from others, so you always know where to find them. This is ideal for keeping family, close friends, or team chats at the front. You can mix individual and group chats, too.
If you need to unpin a chat, just press and hold the bubble and choose Unpin. It slides back into the regular list. It’s a small but effective way to cut through the clutter and stay connected with the people you talk to most.
