Quick Tip: How To Disable The News and Interests Widget From Opening on Hover
If you keep opening the News and Interests widget by accident in Windows 10, you're not alone. Here's how to turn off the "open on hover" feature in just a few clicks.
In Quick Tip, I’ll be talking about how to disable the “open on hover” feature on the News And Interest widget in Windows 10 and why you want to do this.
Windows 10 has a “News and Interests” widget that shows up initially with the weather at the bottom right-hand corner of your screen near the System Tray and clock.
I don’t mind it, but by default, it opens when the mouse hovers over it, and that’s annoying; since I access the System Tray often, I frequently open this widget by accident. So it’s good that the hover-over with mouse feature can be disabled.
To do that, right-click on an empty area of the taskbar at the bottom of your screen, go to “News and Interest,” and left-click once on “open on hover.” Problem solved.
