I have shut down my home business due to my serious health issues. This website continues to exist for the valuable content I created over nearly 5 years, which is informed by over 20 years in the IT industry, and to point people toward my printable paid How To Guides. If I pass away, my Mom will receive any money made.
Considering a Paid Subscription?
For more than twenty years, I helped residential customers and small businesses solve technology problems, set up new computers, remove malware, recover data, improve security, and navigate the increasingly complicated world of technology.
Unfortunately, due to health reasons, my business has permanently closed, and no new content will be added to this website after June 2026.
That means a paid subscription here is a little different from most Substack publications.
You’re not subscribing for weekly articles, breaking news, or ongoing commentary.
Instead, you’re gaining access to a library of downloadable PDF guides based on the articles already published on this website.

Some guides are only a few pages long, while others are considerably more detailed. The goal is not to hide information behind a paywall, but to provide practical reference material in a format that’s easier to keep and use over time.
Why PDF Guides?
A web page is great when you’re reading something today.
A proper PDF guide is often more useful six months from now when you’re trying to remember how to configure Windows Update, install Patch My PC, set up Firefox, or perform a system cleanup.
The information may be similar, but the experience is different.
PDF guides are designed to be downloaded, printed, archived, and revisited whenever needed.

Not everyone wants a subscription.

Everything you see on this website is the result of many years spent helping people with technology in their homes and small businesses.
While my business has now closed due to health reasons and my decision to pursue MAID in Canada as the result of my chronic illness. As a result, no new content will be added after June 2026, I wanted these articles, guides, and resources to remain available for those who may find them useful.
Any income generated through subscriptions or guide purchases will go to helping support my mother in her retirement.
